Job Description:

A General Acute Care Hospital (Stroke Certified, not Chest Pain Center accredited, not a Trauma Level designation) is seeking an interventional cardiologist for locum tenens coverage.The facility is located in Grass Valley, California.This hospital coverage role requires a Radiologist to handle interventional radiology (IR) needs, stroke CTs, and other procedures. The schedule is 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with night call after 4:30 p.m. Procedures include thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, intra-abdominal abscess drainage, chest tubes, suprapubic catheters, CT/US-guided biopsies (thyroid, lung, and others), barium studies, and lumbar punctures. The daily workload includes approximately 50 studies and 5-8 procedures.

Case Load/PPD: ED Daily Volume is 85-90 patients/day, Average Daily Inpatient/Obs Census is 50 patients (includes ICU and OB).
