- A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Women's
Services Interim Manager for a travel assignment.
- Job Requirements
- The right candidate will have 2+ years of experience, hold an
active BLS, NRP, Adv-AWHONN and CA license.
- Schedule Information
- Shifts & Scheduling: Monday - Friday 8:30-5 and
12:30pm-9pm
- Weekend Requirements: one Sunday per month
- Holiday Requirements: generally no
- Is there a call or standby requirement? yes - leader on-call

- Unit: L&D/PP/MB
- # L&D Beds: 6 can go into PP for additional 5 rooms
- # OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections? 1
- # Triage beds: 3
- # Postpartum beds: 11 PP and 6 gyn/pedi/ms overflow
- # Births per day? Month? Year? 65-70/month 775-800/year
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: High Risk Patient
Population - high BMI, HTN, Hemorrhage, Preeclampsia, etc.
- Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: insulin
- Floating Requirements? No
- Scrub Color/Dress code: Business casual
- Unit/Department specific orientation: L&D,
Mother-baby/Peds, and NICU; 12 hr days with varied start times of
8:30a or 12:30p, call included, EOW, First to Float

- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM), BLS, NRP (Neonatal
Resuscitation Program)

role
- OB/Neonatologist in-house 24/7? OB/CNM 24/7 in house, Neo
on-call 24/7
- Anesthesia in house 24/7? On call 24/7
- Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to
read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? No monitor
techs. RNs read strips along with CNM and OB physician. Philips
monitors
