  • Job Details
  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced SICU/CVICU nurse for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 3 full years of experience, experience with open hearts.
  • All candidates must have experience recovering fresh hearts directly from the OR within the last 6 months.
    • Job Requirements
    • 3 full years of SICU/CVICU experience.
    • Experience with open hearts.
    • Experience recovering fresh hearts directly from the OR within the last 6 months.
    • General medical & surgical ICU experience in addition to CVICU experience.
      • Schedule Information
      • 12-hour shifts: 7 AM - 7:30 PM.
      • Every other weekend work required; could be more based on unit needs.
      • Time off requests need to be made prior to contract start.
      • Block scheduling possible but not guaranteed.
      • Floor specific orientation: 1 shift with a preceptor.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Charge Nurse 24/7 - no patients unless absolutely necessary.
        • Resource nurse available 24/7.
        • No techs, support staff/unit clerk/secretary available.
        • Patients: TAVR, Impella, IABP, lumbar drains, Swanz, manual hemo experience preferred.
        • No CRRT.

          • ***Must have experience recovering fresh hearts directly from the OR within past 6 months***
          • ***ALL MYJOURNEY MODULES NEED TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. TRAVELER WILL BE PUSHED BACK IF ALL MODULES ARE NOT COMPLETED. NO EXCEPTIONS***
          • Navy blue scrub color requirement.
